Just got the chance to stay ol from a 4-day activity ng BFAR para sa mga newly-hired. Grabe. Hindi ko inaasahang ma-eenjoy ko siya. :)) Kasi nung Tuesday, ayaw ko pang umalis ng office dahil andami ko pang aasikasuhin para sa Baguio trip ng Division. Tapos ako lang mag-isa ung galing sa Div namin. Si Sheena kasi, college batchmate ko na sa BFAR Pasay nagttrabaho, Wednesday pa pinayagang pumunta ng Tanay. In short, I was not really looking forward to this.

HOWEVER, the moment na sumakay ako ng bus, narealize kong kailangan ko pala ung break na ito. Break sa araw-araw na byahe, sa bahay at trabaho. Mas malapit pa sa nature dahil sa isang farm ung activity namin.

Ung byahe, blissful. Nakatulog ako ng maayos tas puro kanta pa ni Ed Sheeran ung sa bg kaya relaxing talaga. Pagdating sa farm, euphoric ako Kasi ponds kagad ung nakita ko. Naalala ko ung first job ko, kasi puro farm visits ginagawa ko nun. Tiningnan ko kagad ung mga isda, at nakisabay magpakain sa mga un. First time ko rin nakakita sa personal ng knifefish, isang invasive species na umaapekto ngaun sa Laguna de Bay.

Masaya ung experience kasi marami akong nakilalang bagong kaibigan. Ung sakto lang sila, hindi maingay, hindi rin mahirap kausapin. Sabi nga nung mga facilitators, good guys daw kami, Kasi behave lahat. :)

Ung mga topics, timing na malaman namin as newly-hired, especially ung discussion tungkol sa stereotypes sa mga government employees. The choice is ours kung magiging ano kami: the stereotypes or the best that we can be.

Ito ung experience na hindi ko makaklimutan. Ok lang sa’kin na matapos na, hindi na rin kailangan pang ulitin kasi na-enjoy ko naman talaga. Mas mahalaga, ung magiging epekto nito sa’kin bilang tiga-BFAR at workmates nung mga nakasama ko.

One of the reasons I stick here is my desire to express my thoughts. I do think deep and non-stop. And sometimes, what I come up in my mind is beautiful that it needs to be expressed. So here I am n tumblr.

However, I wasn’t able to go here lately. :( Blame it on my phone that only allows me to like posts, and the net in the office that restricts reaching social media sites.

And that little notebook is my companion for most of those times. i went back to writing, which I fins interesting. It’s more private and I find it more comfortable to write all my thoughts since I know I’m the only one who’ll see it. I thought of posting what I wrote here but i decided not to.

In my first day in my 2nd job, I arranged files.. these files. It was a bit hard, I can say, but i didn’t mind. I know that required a lot of work, patience and effort, but I was surprisingly okay with that.

Up until now,I still have the same answer whenever people ask me about my job.

To be honest, it is hard, but I don’t mind. A job is not a job if it’s not hard, or requires extra effort and patience. If one quits his or her job because it’s hard, he or she is not looking for a job, but a vacation.

Maybe because I’m satisfied with it right now-the people I work with and what I do. Not because I get along well with them. I’m just contented. I don’t yet see myself working here 30 years after, but I’m not sad. Because I’m more busy working with I have right now, than just thinking about the future.

Yes, I have plans with my job here, and I’m considering those with my decisions everyday. Not thinking about it big-time, but I consider those.

Weird, but I feel this quote. totally agree with it.

For the past 6 years, a German shepherd called Capitán has slept next to the grave of his owner every night at 6pm.

His owner, Miguel Guzmán died in 2006. Capitán, the dog, disappeared while the family attended the fueral services. A week later reatives of Guzmán were visiting the cemetery when they were astounded to find the dog next to the owner’s grave.

The cemetery director says that the dog comes around each night at 6pm, and has done so for the past 6 years!

We enter a little coffeehouse with a friend of mine and give our order. While we’re aproaching our table two people come in and they go to the counter:
‘Five coffees, please. Two of them for us and three suspended’ They pay for their order, take the two and leave.

I ask my friend: “What are those ‘suspended’ coffees?”
My friend: “Wait for it and you will see.”

Some more people enter. Two girls ask for one coffee each, pay and go. The next order was for seven coffees and it was made by three lawyers - three for them and four ‘suspended’. While I still wonder what’s the deal with those ‘suspended’ coffees I enjoy the sunny weather and the beautiful view towards the square infront of the café. Suddenly a man dressed in shabby clothes who looks like a beggar comes in throught the door and kindly asks
‘Do you have a suspended coffee ?’

It’s simple - people pay in advance for a coffee meant for someone who can not afford a warm bevarage. The tradition with the suspended coffees started in Naples, but it has spread all over the world and in some places you can order not only a suspended coffee, but also a sandwitch or a whole meal.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful to have such cafés or even grocery stores in every town where the less fortunate will find hope and support ? If you own a business why don’t you offer it to your clients… I am sure many of them will like it.
